About The Quirk

The Quirk is a curated gift and curiosity shop, run by Alex and Andrée. After ten years running a PostNet retail franchise together, they're building something a little stranger: a shop full of objects chosen because they make you stop and ask "Where did you get that?"

No mainstream brands. No big box retail. Just genuinely interesting objects, each with a story worth telling. Antiques and curiosities lead the collection, alongside the Gift Kits range, left-handed mugs, notebooks, and a small selection of stained glass.

Dram

The Quirk Mascottie.

Meet Dram. A Scottie dog in a top hat, a monocle on a gold chain, and a bow tie. Based on Dougal, a real Scottie dog who is independent, with a mind of his own, and strong opinions delivered exactly how he pleases.

Dram takes his whisky neat, his bow tie straight, and his curiosity seriously. He lives in every Quirk survival kit because no survival kit is complete without a gentleman.

He does not do small talk. He does not do false comfort. He tells you what you need to hear, and packs it in a box.

Shipping & returns

We ship anywhere in South Africa via courier. Shipping is calculated at checkout and added to your order total. Please inspect your parcel on arrival and let us know right away if anything's amiss, we'll sort it out.
